About Us

TOFIA Services was started in 2009 by John Putala and Sheree Colbert.  They saw a need for affordable mental health services, and a disconnect between people in the community and the resources they need.  By partnering with other organizations, non-profits, and religious organizations; The Organization For Individual Advancement was able to connect with people in under-priveleged communities and provide therapy, workshops, and necessary supportive services.

The name may have changed, but the goals have not.

Dr. Trent is a Clinical Psychologist living in Ann Arbor, MI.  She is licensed in Michigan and Virginia, as well as authorized to provide telehealth services in 41 other states through Psypact.

Dr. Trent completed her graduate studies at Regent University where she received both her Master’s and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Since being licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, she has worked in private practice with children, adolescents and adults, providing individual therapy, psychological testing, neuro-feedback, and group therapy in various places. Dr. Trent also has experience as a Clinical Director of a community-based mental health agency and a rape crisis center. One of her specialties is using principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in her work with clients. She also specializes in spiritually-integrated therapy which helps clients develop their spiritual resources and use their faith as a way to cope and experience post-traumatic growth.
